Daniel D Ricciardi, MD
Dr. Daniel D. Ricciardi is a practicing rheumatologist and medical
educator with strong ties to the Brooklyn community which is his
home. Dr. Ricciardi has been an Attending Physician at the Long
Island College Hospital since 1986. He is currently the President
of the Long Island College Medical Staff, Chief of the Division
of Rheumatology, and the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education.
He is also an Adjunct Physician at the Hospital for Special Surgery
in Manhattan. Dr. Ricciardi is the immediate past President of
the New York Rheumatism Association, Professor of Medicine at St.
George’s University School of Medicine and an Assistant Clinical
Professor of Medicine at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn.
He devotes his time and energy to many distinguished organizations
in the field of rheumatology.
Dr. Ricciardi’s civic activities include board membership
by mayoral appointment to the New York City Department of Mental
Health, and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation.
He also serves on the Board of Continuum Health Partners and the
Congress of Italian American Organization (CIAO). He is an Honorary
Police Surgeon for the New York City Police Department and has
received numerous awards for his humanitarian service and community
leadership.
In recent years New York Magazine has listed Dr. Ricciardi three
times as one of “The Best Doctors in New York” in primary
care and rheumatology. Dr. Ricciardi resides in Brooklyn Heights
with his wife of 27 years, Peggy, and their children, Daniel and
Kara.
Yusuf Yazici, MD
Dr Yusuf Yazici is a rheumatologists and a clinical researcher.
Dr Yazici has been with the Long Island College Hospital for the
last 3 years, and he is also an attending physician at the Hospital
for Special Surgery, where he also did his training in rheumatology.
He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, SUNY Downstate
Medical Center and a member of the Executive Committee of New York
Rheumatism Association.
Besides patient care, he is involved in
clinical outcomes research, specializing in Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus,
and Vasculitic conditions, especially Behcet’s disease. He
has published more than 50 articles and given over 60 presentation
at national and international rheumatology meetings. Dr Yazici
lives in Manhattan with his wife, Angie.
